I never thought I would say this but our refrigerator is too full because of all the fresh produce. This morning was our first juicing experience and it was a family affair. I washed the apples, Roger chopped them in half and Isabella fed them into the juicer with Roger's close supervision. I must say that fresh apple juice is yummy. Then we juiced a pineapple and fresh pineapple juice is yum-yum. Unfortunately, the healthiest of the juice "meals" for me today is the green juice. Not so yum-yum, more like yuck-yuck. I think it was too veggie-overwhelming for me. Tomatoes, cucumbers, spinach, parsley, lime, broccoli, green pepper, green apples, grapes and carrots. I think it might be the worse tasting stuff I have ever had other than cough medicine. I drank one glass of it but I don't think I will be consuming any more. This is after I shook it up and shook it all over my kitchen floor because the lid wasn't closed. Oops.
No matter what happens with the juice fast, I am determined to lose weight and make healthy food choices. I feel better already from just the few changes I have made since Lent started.
The good thing is any veggies I can't (bring myself to) juice we can feed our bunny, Ming-Ming:)
